MARISA TOMEI gained international stardom and an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the hit comedy "My Cousin Vinny," also receiving the 1993 Chicago Film Critics Association Award.

Tomei starred with Robert Downey Jr. in Norman Jewison's romantic comedy "Only You" and co­starred with Michael Keaton, Robert Duvall, and Glenn

Close in Ron Howard's "The Paper." Her film credits also include "Untamed Heart," "Equinox," "Chaplin," "The Perez Family," and most recently "Four Rooms" and Nick Cassavettes' "Unhook the Stars." On stage, Tomei starred in the off­Broadway production of Nicky Silver's "Fat Men in Skirts.'' Other theater credits include the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park Festival production of "Comedy of Errors," "What the Butler Saw," at the Manhattan Theater Club, "Mango Tea," "The Aven'u Boys" and "The Rose Tatoo" at the Williamstown Theater Festival. She received the 1987 Drama­Logue Award for Best Actress for "Beirut." Tomei is also a member of the Naked Angels theater company in New York.
