FAMKE JANSSEN (Trillion) rocketed to international stardom
as the sexy Russian assistant, Xenia Onatopp, opposite Pierce
Brosnan's 007 in the smash hit, "Goldeneye," and the
dark action thriller "City of Industry," opposite Timothy
Hutton, Harvey Keitel and Stephen Dortf. She also starred opposite
Scott Bakula in Clive Barker's supernatural thriller "Lord
of Illusions" which marked her first starring role in a major
Born in Holland, Janssen was studying economics at a college in
Amsterdam when she accepted an offer to model, and was soon in
great international demand. After moving to the U.S., she put
her career on hold to study writing and literature at New York's
famed Columbia University, then moved to Los Angeles, where she
continued to develop her acting range under noted instructor Roy
Janssen soon landed prominent guest spots on such television series
as "The Untouchables," "Melrose Place," and
"Star Trek: The Next Generation." She made her feature
film debut opposite Jeff Goldblum in "Fathers and Sons."
She will be featured in Robert Altman's "The Gingerbread
Man" in March of this year, has just completed Woody Allen's
fall 1998 project and begins filming on the John Dahldirected
"Rounders," opposite Mutt Damon, Ed Norton, John Turturro
and John Malkovich.
