RYAN O'NEAL gained attention and the hearts of television viewers as the preppy Rodney Harrington on the long running series "Peyton Place." After more than 500 episodes he drifted into a number of small film projects before having the good fortune to land the lead in "Love Story" (1970), a hit film that made him a star and earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his performance. O'Neal made a number of other successful films in the seventies including, "What's Up Doc?" "Paper Moon," (which co-starred daughter Tatum), "Barry Lyndon" and "The Main Event."

O'Neal always had a talent for fighting and became a Golden Gloves competitor as well as a stuntman. Other film credits include, "Fever Pitch," "Irreconcilable Differences," "Partners," "So Fine," "Green Ice," "Oliver's Story," "The Driver," "A Bridge Too Far," "Nickelodeon," "The Thief Who Came To Dinner" and "Wild Rover."

More recently he has starred in "Faithful," and "Chances Are" which co-starred Cybill Shepherd and Robert Downey Jr.
