PAYBACK

DAVID PAYMER (Stegman) plays one of Val's underlings, the Don of the lowly cab Mafia who yearns to be part of The Outfit. Paymer has appeared in such films as "Nixon," "Get Shorty," "City Hall" and "The American President." Previously he portrayed Dan Enright, creator and producer of the popular TV show "Twenty-One," in Robert Redford's highly acclaimed "Quiz Show."

Paymer earned Academy Award® and Golden Globe nominations for his performance as Billy Crystal's put-upon brother in "Mr. Saturday Night."

He also appeared in a variety of roles in such diverse films as "Gang Related," "The Sixth Man," "Searching For Bobby Fischer," "Heart and Souls," "City Slickers" and its sequel "City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold," "No Way Out," "Best Defense" and "The In-Laws." He recently co-starred in "Mighty Joe Young" with Bill Paxton.

Paymer will next be seen in Lawrence Kasdan's "Mumford," Norman Jewison's "Lazarus and the Hurricane," starring Denzel Washington, and "Chill Factor," starring Cuba Gooding, Jr.

Paymer earned a Golden Globe nomination in 1997 for Best Supporting Actor for HBO's "Crime of the Century," directed by Mark Rydell.
