Born and raised in Denmark, OLE BORNEDAL makes his American
feature film debut with "Nightwatch." His 1995 film
"Nattevagten" broke all Danish boxoffice records
and was accepted into the prestigious Critics Week section of
the Cannes Film Festival. The film was subsequently shown at the
Sundance Film Festival.
Bornedal has an extensive background in Danish television. Starting
from 1987, he served as writer and director on such Danish television
shows as "Under Watch" and "The Fly" as well
as telefilms like "Somewhere on Earth" and "Chariot
and Charlotte." His other television experience includes
comedy writing and hosting a talk show.
Most recently, Bomedal produced Guillermo del Toro's "Mimic."
