BEN AFFLECK (Ben) is an Oscar -winning screenwriter, in addition to being one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. Together with Matt Damon, he shared an Academy Award, as well as a Golden Globe Award, for Best Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting." Affleck also starred with Damon in the film, which earned a total of nine Oscar nominations, including one for Best Picture.

More recently. he appeared as the insufferable actor Ned Alleyn in the award-winning period comedy "Shakespeare in Love." He also starred with Bruce Willis and Liv Tyler as an oil driller-turned-astronaut trying to save the world from an asteroid in the blockbuster "Armageddon." Affleck had earlier earned praise for his work in the films "Chasing Amy" and "Going All the Way," both of which premiered at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. He includes among his additional credits "School Ties," "Dazed and Confused," "Cruz" and "Mallrats."

Affleck continues to play a broad range of characters in several upcoming films. He is currently filming the thriller "Reindeer Games" for director John Frankenheimer. He will also be seen in Kevin Smith's "Dogma," Billy Bob Thornton's "Daddy and Them," and Ben Younger's "The Boiler Room."

Behind the camera, Affleck is working on two untitled screenplays with Damon.
