ANDREW LAZAR's (Producer) company Mad Chance, formed in 1995, has a first-look deal with Warner Bros. and is based on the Warner lot in Burbank. Mad Chance is also involved with projects at other studios including Sony Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, New Line Cinema, DreamWorks, SKG; The Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Columbia and Jim Henson Productions.

Mad Chance recently completed "The Astronaut's Wife," a thriller for New Line Cinema starring Johnny Depp, Charlize Theron, and Nick Cassavettes, with Rand Ravich directing.

Before Mad Chance was formally created, Andrew Lazar produced Larry and Andy Wachowski's "Bound," starring Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon, for Dino DeLaurentils Communications. The critically acclaimed film premiered at Sundance in 1996 and was voted one of the ten best films of the year by Siskel & Ebert. Andrew also independently purchased the Wachowski Bros. script "Assassins," developed it and produced the film at Warner Bros. Richard Donner directed "Assassins" which starred Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore. Andrew also produced the HBO movie The Maker," starring Matthew Modine, Fairuza Balk, Michael Madsen, Jonathan Rhys-Myers, and Mary-Louise Parker. "The Maker," directed by Tim Hunter, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in1997.

Andrew Lazar, an NYU graduate with majors in political science and film production, was formerly the executive vice president of Dino DeLaurentiis Communications. At DDLC, Lazar oversaw all development and production and was the executive producer of John Dahl's "Unforgettable," starring Ray Liotta and Linda Fiorentino.
