ANYWHERE BUT HERE

Since his film debut three years ago, SHAWN HATOSY (Benny) has continued to work with some of the most highly regarded actors and rising directors in Hollywood. Shawn most recently starred opposite Alec Baldwin in "Outside Providence," based on Peter Farrelly's highly praised first novel, with a screenplay by Bobby Farrelly and directed by Michael Corrente. He will next be seen in the film version of Sam Shepherd's acclaimed play "Simpatico," which stars Nick Nolte, Sharon Stone, Albert Finney and Jeff Bridges, and will also star in the upcoming HBO feature "Witness Protection," alongside Forest Whitaker, Tom Sizemore and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Shawn recently finished filming "Down To You" with Freddie Prinze Jr., Julia Stiles and Selma Blair, a romantic comedy about lost love in which he plays Prinze's odd-ball best buddy and college roommate.

His motion picture debut was in Frank Oz's "In & Out," as Kevin Kline's supportive student. Other film credits include Robert Rodriguez's "The Faculty," "Joyriders" with Martin Landau and Kris Kristofferson, the Jodie Foster-directed "Home for the Holidays," "All Over Me," "Niagra, Niagra," "The Postman" with Kevin Costner and "Inventing the Abbotts."

Shawn showed an early interest in performing while growing up in Fredrick, Maryland. Shortly after garnering the attention of an agent, he began appearing in local commercials, theater productions and independent films that led to his first professional role on television's "Homicide."
