Academy Award-winning actor CUBA GOODING,
JR. (Theo Caulder) is one of the most charismatic and captivating
performers on the screen today. He was most recently seen in "What
Dreams May Come" co-starring Robin Williams as well as James
Brooks' comedy hit 'As Good As It Gets" with Jack Nicholson,
Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear.
It was Gooding's critically-acclaimed, Oscar winning portrayal
of flamboyant professional football player Rod Tidwell in the
smash hit "Jerry Maguire" that propelled him to the
forefront of the entertainment industry The role earned Gooding
a number of additional honors including the Screen Actors Guild
Award, the Chicago Film Critics Award, the Broadcasters Film Critics
Award, the Blockbusters Film Critics Award, the Blockbuster Entertainment
Award, the Black Oscars Award and the American Comedy Award, all
for Best Supporting Actor. In addition, Gooding was nominated
for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he was
honored with the prestigious ShoWest Award in the same category.
He also received a nomination for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding
Prior to "Jerry Maguire," Gooding had already established
his presence in feature films with a number of impressive credits.
He made his motion picture debut as the star of John Singelton's
coming-of-age drama "Boyz N the Hood" in 1991, and a
year later he was featured in the Oscar-nominated 'A Few Good
Men" co-starring Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore.
