OUT OF SIGHT

DON CHEADLE was named Best Supporting Actor by the Los Angeles Film Critics and the National Society of Film Critics for his breakout performance as 'Mouse' opposite Denzel Washington in Devil in a Blue Dress.

He recently appeared on screen as Buck Swope, a porn star in search of respect in the acclaimed Boogie Nights, in Volcano, opposite Tommy Lee Jones and in Rosewood, directed by John Singleton, for which he received an NAACP Image Award nomination. Cheadle's additional feature film credits include Hamburger Hill, Colors and Meteor Man. Cheadle's television credits include a starring role in HBO's Rebound, directed by Eriq LaSalle and a two-year stint in the role of District Attorney John Littleton on the dramatic television series Picket Fences.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Cheadle received his BFA degree from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. A talented musician who plays saxophone, writes music and sings, the versatile Cheadle also received attention for directing the stage productions of Cincinnati Man, The Trip and Groomed. His additional stage credits include roles in Leon, Lena and Lenz, The Grapes of Wrath, Liquid Skin, 'Tis a Pity She's a Whore and Athol Fugard's South African play, Blood Knot.

Cheadle's upcoming projects include the Spring '98 release of Bulworth, directed by and starring Warren Beatty, and the Summer '98 airing of The Rat Pack for HBO Productions in the role of Sammy Davis, Jr.
