THE MASK OF ZORRO

STUART WILSON (Don Rafael Montero) has alternated distinguished stage appearances with work in film and television. He has had featured roles in some of the most popular films of the last few years, including The Rock, The Age Of Innocence, Lethal Weapon 3 and Wetherby. He has also starred opposite Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley in Death And The Maiden.

The Mask of Zorro marks Wilson's second time in front of the cameras for director Martin Campbell, with whom he first worked on No Escape.

"Stuart is absolutely terrific in this film," Campbell said. "The key to his character is never making him just black and white, not just a dark, dastardly villain. Stuart brings a real humanity and compassion-albeit warped-to the story. I truly hope this role gets him the recognition he deserves."

Wilson's television credits include starring roles in some of the most acclaimed series and movies-of-the-week in both England and the United States, including "Prime Suspect," "The Jewel in the Crown," "I, Claudius," "Ivanhoe," "Anna Karenina," "Wallenberg," "Her Wicked Ways" and "Rose Hill."

Wilson began his career on the London stage at the prestigious Royal Court Theater. He has also performed extensively with The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Liverpool Repertory and the Cambridge Repertory Company. Wilson's stage credits include "The Three Sisters" (starring Vanessa, Lynn and Gemma Redgrave), "Richard II," "Henry IV" and "Awake and Sing." Born in England, Wilson spent his teenage years in Africa, where his father was an engineer in the copper mining industry.
