THE HAUNTING

CATHERINE ZETA-JONES (Theo) recently won a Blockbuster Award for Best Newcomer Actress for her starring role in last summer's action adventure hit "The Mask of Zorro." Though she was already a popular star in the United Kingdom, her stand-out performance opposite Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins immediately established her as one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. This summer, she starred with Sean Connery in the action thriller "Entrapment."

Born in Wales, Zeta-Jones began her career on the stage, starring in the West End production of "42nd Street." She then landed a leading role in the hit Yorkshire Television series "The Darling Buds of May," based on the novels of H.E. Bates. On the big screen, her earlier credits include the British surfing film "Blue Juice," opposite Ewan McGregor. "Splitting Heirs" and the screen adaptation of the comic strip "The Phantom."

Previously, American television audiences had seen Zeta-Jones in the miniseries "Titanic," in which she starred with Peter Gallagher, George C. Scott and Eva Marie Saint. Her other television work includes the critically praised Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation of Thomas Hardy's "The Return of the Native," and the title role in the miniseries "Catherine The Great."
