As John Volgecherev a.k.a. "Sheriff," VINCE VAUGHN is a man who undergoes a soulful metamorphosis when faced with saving a friend's life at the peril of his own.

A rising star, Vaughn has emerged as one of Hollywood's brightest young talents working virtually non-stop since his debut in the cult hit Swingers, the film that made him the actor to watch.

He starred in Steven Spielberg's 1997 blockbuster sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park opposite Julianne Moore and Jeff Goldblum. He also starred in director John Patrick Kelly's The Locusts, which Kelly also wrote, opposite Kate Capshaw and Ashley Judd.

He teamed with his Return to Paradise co-star and friend Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming Gramercy Pictures' release Clay Pigeons. David Dobkin's offbeat murder mystery also stars Janeane Garofalo and Georgina Cates. More of Vaughn will be seen on the big screen in John N. Smith's Kansas drama A Cool Dry Place opposite Monica Potter and Joey Lauren Adams for Twentieth Century Fox.

His next starring role will be the motion picture remake of Psycho, which is being directed by Gus Van Sant.

A native of Minneapolis who was raised in Illinois, Vaughn lives in Los Angeles.
