Having produced twelve films in the last five years, thirty six year old CATHY KONRAD is one of the most prolific producers in Hollywood today.

Some of her projects that have enjoyed both critical and box office success are: the Scream franchise, and Copland, as well as producing the directing debuts of Larry Clark (the highly acclaimed Kids), Alexander Payne (the satirical Citizen Ruth), Ted Demme (the relationship comedy Beautiful Girls), Gary Fleder (the crime drama Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead), M. Knight Shyamalan (the family drama Wide Awake), and most recently Kevin Williamson.

Konrad continues to actively develop and produce an eclectic slate of films for her production banner, Konrad Pictures, which has a three-year, first look deal with Columbia. Currently in post-production for Columbia is the highly anticipated Girl Interrupted, starring Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg, Clea Duvall, Brittany Murphy, and Vanessa Redgrave.

In addition to Teaching Mrs. Tingle, Konrad is also producing Miramax/Dimension's Scream 3, which reunites Konrad with filmmaker Wes Craven, Kevin Williamson, actors Courtney Cox and David Arquette and begins production this summer for a wide release in December 1999.

Other Konrad projects currently in the development include: Kate & Leopold, a romantic comedy to be directed by James Mangold; Cherokee Rose, about the infamous Cherokee Trail of Tears, written by Lucky Gold; Double Wish, starring and based on an idea by Rosie O'Donnell; Prom War, a teen comedy by Brian Hecker; and So Shoot Me, which she will produce with Diane Keaton and Bill Robinson from a script by Alexandra Valenti and Ceridwen Morris.

Prior to forming her own production company, Konrad served as President of Woods Entertainment. Before her stint at Woods Entertainment, Konrad was Senior Vice President of director Norman Jewison's Yorktown Productions. While at Yorktown, she developed the romantic comedy "Only You," starring Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., and "Bogus," starring Whoopi Goldberg.

Konrad's first job in the industry was in her hometown of Silver Springs, Maryland, where she worked in various production posts on films such as Suspect, Hamburger Hill, and Zelly and me. She then moved on the Amblin Entertainment, working for producer, Kathleen Kennedy.
