OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE

SHAWN HATOSY stars as Timothy, the Rhode Island slacker who finds himself dazed, confused and about to figure life out at the elite Cornwall Academy. Hatosy most recently starred in the ensemble teen thriller 'The Faculty," directed by Robert Rodriguez and will next next be seen in Wayne Wang's "Anything But Here" with Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman, as well as "Simpatico" with Nick Nolte and Jeff Bridges and "Joyriders" opposite Martin Landau.

Hatosy made his feature film debut in Frank Oz's comedy "In and Out." Other credits include "Home For The Holidays," "All Over Me," "Niagra Niagra," 'The Postman" and "Inventing the Abbots." He has also appeared in the television movies "Double Jeopardy" and "Inflammable." He is currently shooting "Down To You" for Miramax with Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julie Stiles and Selma Blair.

Born and raised in Frederick Maryland, Hatosy showed an early interest in performing. He soon began working in commercials and small independent films in the Baltimore and Washington DC areas. He also formed a band in which he played guitar and sang original music, developing a loyal local following. After appearing in several local theater productions, he was cast in his first professional role in television's acclaimed "Homicide."
