WHAT DREAMS MAY COME

A talented and charismatic actress, ANNABELLA SCIORRA (Annie Nielsen) has performed in a broad range of feature films portraying roles in such diverse films as Jungle Fever, The Addiction, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, and Cop Land. Her dynamic and compelling performances have proven her to be a exceedingly gifted and versatile actress.

While growing up in Connecticut and New York, Annabella was trained in both classical dance and theater. Her stage work has included appearances at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, where she worked extensively with writer/director Reinoldo Povod (Cuba and His Teddy Bear, La Puta Vida Trilogy). She has also worked with the Naked Angels and has performed at the Promenade Theater in Those the River Keeps, written and directed by David Rabe. Annabella was soon working in feature films, and early on, being directed by such prominent filmmakers as Michael Figgis, Barbet Schroeder and John Badham.

She made a profound impact in the film area with her impressive role opposite Wesley Snipes in Jungle Fever, Spike Lee's ground breaking story of a young culturally-mixed relationship. Following Jungle Fever, she starred in the dramatic thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, opposite Rebecca DeMornay for director Curtis Hanson, and then in Anthony Minghella's Mr. Wonderful, opposite Matt Dillon and Vincent d'Onofrio. She also starred in Peter Medak's film drama, Romeo is Bleeding opposite Gary Oldman, and Abel Ferrara's The Addiction. She worked with Ferrara again for his period piece, The Funeral, opposite Christopher Walken, and also served as associate producer on the film.

Her additional film credits include the dark psychological farce, Underworld opposite Joe Mantegna and Denis Leary for director Roger Christian, The Innocent Sleep, Whispers in the Dark, Internal Affair, True Love, The Night We Never Met, The Hard Way and Little City. Annabella received critical acclaim for her role as the beleaguered wife of a police officer living in a small New jersey town in Cop Land. She starred opposite Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone in that highly praised drama which was written and directed by James Mangold. She starred in the romantic comedy Mr. Jealousy opposite Erick Stoltz.
