The talented ALLY WALKER has played a variety of characters both in film and on television.
Since 1996, Walker has led the cast of the extremely popular NBC series, "Profiler," in the role of Dr. Sam Waters, a brilliant forensic psychologist who uses her scientific knowledge and a gift for visualizing crimes to assist the police in their murder investigations. After four seasons, she will return to the series this fall for only two episodes, after which she will depart the show allowing her to pursue new challenges.
A native of New Mexico, Walker studied to be a genetic biologist at the University of California - Santa Cruz, before being discovered by a film producer in a Los Angeles restaurant. "I decided that I could only go so far with the sciences, and I found the creative arts to be more stimulating." And stimulating she was, beginning her career in television as Andrea Bedford on the NBC Emmy Award winning daytime series "Santa Barbara." Additional TV credits include being a series regular on "True Blue" and "Moon over Miami."
Walker has had a slew of major film roles, beginning with her appearance in Cameron Crowe's grunge-vision of Seattle's Gen-X community, "Singles." Next she starred opposite Jean Claude Van Damme in the action film "Universal Soldier" and as Peter Gallagher's uptight, yet hilarious fiance in the romantic
comedy "While You Were Sleeping." Additional film credits include "Kazaam," "Bed of Roses," "Someone To Die For," "When the Bough Breaks" and "Steal Big, Steal Little."
Walker resides in Los Angeles with her husband and 2-year-old son, John.
