QUEEN LATIFAH most recently co-starred with Danny DeVito and Holly Hunter in Living Out Loud. Her other films include Sphere, opposite Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone and Samuel L. Jackson, Hoodlum, Jungle Fever, House Party 2, My Life and Set It Off.

On television, she recently starred in the CBS miniseries Mama Flora's Family. For five years, she starred as Khadijah James on the hit comedy Living Single. She also starred in the special AT&T Presents: Queen Latifah and Friends and guest-starred on the series Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This Fall, she will be seen in her own syndicated talk show, Latifah.

Queen Latifah, whose stage name "Latifah" is Arabic for "delicate and sensitive," first gained recognition as a Grammy Award-winning rap artist. She earned the distinction of being the first female solo rap artist to achieve gold record status with the release of her second album "Black Reign." Her other top-selling albums include "All Hail the Queen," "Nature of a Sista" and "Order in the Court." In 1997, Queen Latifah was honored with the Soul Train Lady of Soul Aretha Franklin Award for Entertainer of the Year.
