CHRISTINA RICCI (Katrina Van Tassel) is one of Hollywood's most respected young actors. Most recently she has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award, an American Comedy Award, and an Independent Spirit Award as Best Actress for her work in "The Opposite of Sex."

Having made a seamless transition into mature roles, Ricci also starred in Vincent Gallo's "Buffalo 66" and "Pecker," directed by John Waters. In addition, she made a cameo appearance as a young girl on an acid trip opposite Johnny Depp in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," directed by Terry Gilliam.

Christian's performance at age 8 in a school play caught the attention of a local theater critic, who suggested to her parents that she consider an acting career. Ricci made her professional acting debut one year later in the movie "Mermaids," starring Cher and Winona Ryder and continued to earn critical acclaim with her memorable performance as Wednesday Addams in "The Addams Family" and "Addams Family Values."

In 1995, she received the prestigious N.A.T.O. ShowEast Star of the Year Award and the Star of Tomorrow Award form the Motion Picture Booker's Club for her strong performances in films - most notably for her $100 million-plus box office successes, "The Addams Family" and "Casper."

In 1997, Ricci co-starred in Ang Lee's ensemble film "The ice Storm," with Kevin Kline, Sigourney Weaver, Joan Allen and Elijah Wood, receiving rave reviews for her performance. She was last seen in the independent features "Desert Blue" and "200 Cigarettes," also starring Ben Affleck and Courtney Love.

Ricci is currently on location in Paris under the direction of Sally Potter ("Orlando") on the World War II drama "The Man Who Cried," which co-stars Johnny Depp, Cate Blanchett and John Turturro.
