RIDE WITH THE DEVIL

One of the most gifted and accomplished artists in popular music today, JEWEL makes her film debut in "Ride with the Devil."

Her debut album "Pieces of You," has sold over ten million copies since its release by Atlantic Records in February 1995. Her second album, "Spirit," has sold over four million copies in the U.S. since its release in November 1998. A third album, consisting of holiday-themed songs, is due out in November 1999.

Jewel has been honored with three Grammy Award nominations, an American Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award.

Born and raised in Alaska, the singer/song writer was discovered at San Diego's Innerchange coffeehouse, where she was performing to standing- room-only crowds. She has graced the cover of such major national magazines as Time (coinciding with her participation in the celebrated Lilith Fair tour), Rolling Stone, Interview, and Details. In 1995, she starred as Dorothy in a charity performance of "The Wizard of Oz In Concert," held at New York City's Lincoln Center.

Jewel has also released a book of her poetry, entitled A Night Without Armor (published by Harper Collins).
