THE PRINCE OF EGYPT
RALPH FIENNES gives voice to Rameses, the prince who becomes
Fiennes received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting
Actor for his chilling portrayal of a Nazi commandant in Steven
Spielberg's Oscar - winning Best Picture "Schindler's List."
He more recently received a Best Actor Oscar ® nomination
for his work as Count Laszlo de Almasy in another Best Picture
winner, "The English Patient." He also earned praise
for his portrayal of disgraced game show contestant Charles Van
Doren in Robert Redford's "Quiz Show."
On the stage, Fiennes won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Actor for
his work in the title role of the hit Broadway production of "Hamlet."
A native of Suffolk, England, Fiennes made his film debut as Heathcliff
in "Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights." He includes among
his other film credits "Strange Days," "Oscar and
Lucinda" and "The Avengers." In addition, he has
just completed production on the film adaptation of Pushkin's
"Eugene Onegin," which he both starred in and produced.
He is presently in production on "Sunshine," written
and directed by Istvan Szabo.
