TOM SHADYAC's (Director, Executive Producer) first feature
as a director was Jim Carrey's breakout hit Ace Ventura: Pet
Detective. His second film was the smash hit The Nutty
Professor produced by Brain Grazer and Eddie Murphy. He then
re-teamed with Carrey and Grazer for the box office sensation
Shadyac moved to Los Angeles in 1983 and at age 23, became the
youngest staff joke writer ever for the legendary Bob Hope.
Shadyac attended graduate film school at UCLA in 1989 where he
completed the critically acclaimed short Tom, Dick and Harry.
Shadyac was also a stand-up comedian and at one time appeared
regularly at the Improv in Los Angeles.
