MAN ON THE MOON

TONY CLIFTON has enjoyed a successful—albeit controversial—career as a lounge club performer. He is best known for his outlandish stand-up routines, which have been described by critics as inane and insulting.

Over the years, he has opened for comedians ranging from Andy Kaufman to Rodney Dangerfield and in clubs from Las Vegas to Reno, and from Tahoe to Atlantic City. Following a standing room only engagement at the Shoes & Socks Lounge in Las Vegas, Clifton retired from show business in 1985.

He currently resides in a retirement community in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
