TOBEY MAGUIRE (Homer Wells) starred in the recent hit fantasy- adventure "Pleasantville," directed by Gary Ross, opposite Reese Witherspoon. He also stars in Ang Lee's upcoming Civil War epic "Ride With The Devil." The film reunited Maguire with the director and with screenwriter James Schamus, with whom he collaborated on the acclaimed drama "The Ice Storm," with Sigourney Weaver, Kevin Kline and Christina Ricci. Maguire's portrayal of a philosophical youngster with sexual yearnings, caught in a web of very dysfunctional family relations, earned him widespread critical plaudits.

Maguire also made an appearance Woody Allen's satire "Deconstructing Harry," alongside an ensemble cast that included Allen. Kirstie Alley, Demi Moore, Judy Davis, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams. Other film credits include Terry Gilliam's take on gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson's novel "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," with Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro, "S.F.W.," opposite Stephen Dorff, Reese Witherspoon, lake Busey and Joey Lauren Adams, and "This Boy's Life," starring Robert De Niro, Ellen Barkin and Leonardo DiCaprio. Maguire's first appeared in the Academy Award-nominated short film "Duke of Groove," directed by Griffin Dunne and also starring Kate Capshaw, Uma Thurman and Kiefer Sutherland.
