BRITTANY MURPHY continues to emerge as one of Hollywood's most sought after and engaging young actors. She has already made an impressive mark on the film, television and Broadway communities.

She gained national attention from her breakthrough role as Tai Frasier in the box-office smash Clueless. Since then, the career of this young actress has gained momentum with several eclectic and impressive performances. She recently appeared in the Showtime original movie "Devil's Arithmetic" opposite Mimi Rogers and Kirsten Dunst, as well as in New Line's Drop Dead Gorgeous, in which she shares the screen with Kirstie Alley and Ellen Barkin. Her additional film credits include Drive and Prophecy II: Ashtown.

She is currently shooting the feature film Cherry Falls and will then star in the highly anticipated Janis Joplin biopic Piece of My Heart.

She was most recently seen opposite Lukas Haas and Sidney Poitier in the Harpo Productions telefilm "David and Lisa." Before that, she was on Broadway in Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge." The critically acclaimed, Tony Award-winning play was directed by Michael Mayer and also starred Tony Award winners Anthony LaPaglia and Allison Janney. Murphy's talent for voices and accents can be heard each week on the Fox animated comedy series "King of the Hill" as she gives life to the characters LuAnne and Joseph on the hit show.

In the past two years, Murphy has completed several films, including Live Entertainment's Zack and Reba, opposite Sean Patrick Flanery and Debbie Reynolds; Basement Films' Bongwater; and Lakeshore Entertainment's Phoenix, opposite Ray Liotta.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Murphy currently divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.
