STOCKARD CHANNING (Florence Maybelle) has been honored for her talent with numerous awards and nominations. Most recently she was nominated for an Emmy, a Golden Globe and an Independent Spirit Award for he work in Showtime's Baby Dance, in which she co-starred with Laura Dern. The film version of Six Degrees of Separation earned her an Oscar nomination, while the stage version earned her a Tony Award nomination, an Obie, the Distinguished Performance of the Year from the New York Drama League and an Olivier Award nomination.

Channing recently completed production on Where The Heart Is, a film directed by Matt Williams, which also stars Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. The film is based on the best-selling novel, and will be released in April. Currently, she can be seen as the First Lady, opposite Martin Sheen on NBC's hit drama West Wing.

One of America's leading stage actresses, Channing has received a Tony Award and four nominations. Her most recent nomination was for her role as Eleanor of Aquitane in The Lion In Winter opposite Laurence Fishburne. She won the 1985 Best Actress Tony Award for her performance in Joe Egg, for which she also received Drama Desk and Outer Critic's Circle Award nominations. Other stage credits include House of Blue Leaves (Tony nomination), Four Baboons Adoring The Sun, The Little Foxes, Hapgood (Drama Desk nomination), Love Letters, Women in Mind (Drama Desk award), The Rink, The Golden Age and They're Playing Our Song.

Channing earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Smoke and won a People's Choice Award for her role in Grease. Channing's television credits include: An Unexepcted Life for the USA Network (the sequel to An Unexepcted Family, for which she received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Special); the aforementioned Baby Dance, produced by Jodie Foster; the Disney Channel's The Road to Avonlea; Perfect Witness for HBO; and CBS' David's Mother and Echoes in the Darkness. She received a CableACE Award for her role in HBO's On Tidy Endings, and was seen in NBC's The Prosecutors; Showtime's Lilly Dale; Hallmark Hall of Fame's The Room Upstairs; Lou Antonio's Silent Victory; The Story of Kitty O'Neal; CBS' The Stockard Channing Show; and Lee Phillips' The Girl Most Likely To.
