TOM EVERETT SCOTT (Michael Brantley) has developed a reputation as one
of the industry's most versatile young actors. He was recently seen starring in
several very different roles, including The Love Letter, opposite Kate
Capshaw and Ellen DeGeneres, Dead Man on Campus and the moving drama One
True Thing with Meryl Streep and Renee Zellwegger. He also won solid reviews
in the independent film River Red, which he produced and which garnered
acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival.
Scott first came to Hollywood's attention as the soulful drummer in That
Thing You Do!, Tom HanksĀ“ directorial debut. He also starred opposite Julie
Delpy in An American WereWolf in Paris.
Scott made his television debut on an episode of "Law & Order,"
then won the recurring role of the seventeen year old-son earlier given up for
adoption on the hit sitcom "Grace Under Fire." He recently returned to
television in the 1999 telefilm "Inherit The Wind."
A long-time theatre veteran, Scott is a co-founder of the New York-based
theater group TheaterCo, which focuses on original works. "River Red"
was originally developed by TheaterCo, with Scott directing it on stage.
