RADHA MITCHELL stars in Pitch Black as Fry, a docking pilot on the crew of a spacecraft that crashes on an inhospitable planet, where Fry must then lead the survivors to safety.

Mitchell last starred, opposite Ally Sheedy, in Lisa Cholodenko's award-winning "High Art." She most recently completed filming David Seltzer's "Anasazi Moon," with Gary Oldman and Skeet Ulrich; and Gregory Haynes' "Cowboys and Angels," with Mia Kirshner and Adam Trese.

She has also finished work on an independent feature film, "Everything Put Together," directed by Marc Foster, which she both starred in and produced.

Mitchell's other film credits include Emma-Kate Croghan's "Love and Other Catastrophes," Jon Reiss' "Cleopatra's Second Husband," and "Sleeping Beauties" (a short film that, like "High Art," screened at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival).

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, she began her acting career, while still in high school, in the Australian television series "Sugar and Spice." She next appeared on Australian television in "Neighbors"; and on New Zealand television in the miniseries "The Chosen." Her Australian film credits include "James," "Ruby City," and "Kick."
