Topsy-Turvy marks the fifth time the actor has worked with Mike Leigh, following the stage plays "Goose-pimples" and "Ecstasy," the feature film "Life Is Sweet," and the short film "A Sense of History," which Broadbent wrote and starred in.
His numerous film credits include Peter Hewitt's "The Borrowers," Richard
Loncraine's "Richard III" and "The Wedding Gift" (a.k.a. "Wide-Eyed and
Legless"), Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway," Neil Jordan's "The
Crying Game," and Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" and "Time Bandits."
Broadbent was last seen onstage in Sam Mendes' acclaimed production of Alan Bennett's "Habeas Corpus.
