DELROY LINDO (Isaak O'Day) garnered critical acclaim for his role as Mr. Rose in the acclaimed
Lasse Hallstrom film. "The Cider house Rules."
Lindo has starred in numerous films and theater productions. He worked with filmmaker Spike Lee on three of the director's films. "Clockers," "Malcolm X," in which he garnered an NAACP Image Award nomination for his portrayal of West Indian Archie, and "Crooklyn."
Other film credits include Danny Boyle's "A Life Less Ordinary." "The Devil's Advocate" and
John Woo's "Broken Arrow," opposite John Travolta, with whom he also starred in "Get
Shorty." Lindo garnered another NAACP Image Award nomination for his supporting actor work in "Ransom," in which he starred opposite Mel Gibson. He has also appeared in "Feeling Minnesota," "Mr. Jones," "The Hard Way," "Bright Angel" and "Mountains On the Moon." He will next be seen in Disney's "Gone In 60 Seconds," which also stars Nicolas Cage, Robert Duvall and Angelina
On television, Lindo recently received critical acclaim in Showtime's "Strange Justice," starring as Judge Clarence Thomas. He also starred as Matthew Henson, the African American
credited with co-discovering the North Pole with Robert E. Peary, in the TNT movie "Glory & Honor." He received an NAACP Image Award nomination as Best Actor for his work as Satchel Paige in the HBO film "Soul of the Game."
An accomplished stage actor, Lindo received a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award nomination for his performance as Herald Loomis in August Wilson's "Joe Turner's Come and Gone." He also appeared on Broadway and on National Tour in "Master Harold And the Boys." was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award starring as Walter Lee in "Raisin in the Sun" at the Kennedy Center, and won a Best Actor Image Award for reprising that role in the play's Los Angeles production.
Lindo has also recently executive produced. directed and hosted two in-depth documentary interviews with the acclaimed directors Spike Lee and Charles Burnett.
