KEITH (Marine Major Coonan), a native of Tennessee, first rose to prominence
when he appeared in The Rose, opposite Bette Midler. When he was cast as the
suicidal Naval officer in An Officer And A Gentleman, Keith earned a Golden
Globe nomination for his portrayal and became well-known to audiences around the
extensive repertoire of films to his credit, other starring roles for the
talented Southerner include The Great Santini, Lords of Discipline, Firestarter,
Brubaker, Back Roads, Heartbreak Hotel, Major League 2 and The Two Jakes, to
name a few. More recently, he starred in The Indian In the Cupboard and
television work is equally impressive. He played Oliver North in Guts And Glory:
The Oliver North Story, starred in James Michener's television mini-series
adaptation of his novel Texas and Sidney Sheldon's If Tomorrow Comes. He also
starred in the cable feature Gulag, as well as the two television series Flesh
'N Blood and Local Heroes, for which he also co-wrote and performed the theme
songs. More recently he completed two seasons on Steven Spielberg's
critically-acclaimed High Incident.
behind the camera, The Curse marked Keith's directorial debut. He went on to
direct and star in The Further Adventures Of Tennessee Buck, shot in Sri Lanka.

Tennessee Volunteers and his mother's fried chicken.
