Since then he has appeared in numerous films including Milos Forman's "Man on the Moon," Tim Robbins' "Cradle Will Rock," Steven Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan," PJ Hogan's "My Best Friend's Wedding," Cameron Crowe's "Singles," Woody Allen's "Mighty Aphrodite," Barbet Schroeder's "Before and After," Sydney Pollack's "Sabrina," Mike Newell's "Donnie Brasco," F. Gary Grays' "The Negotiator" and "Winchell" opposite Stanley Tucci for HBO.

He was most recently seen in "Big Momma's House" opposite Martin Lawrence and will next be seen in the "Untitled Todd Solondz Project," which is currently in production. Giamatti will begin principal photography on Tim Burton's "The Visitor/Planet of the Apes" in November of this year.

Giamatti starred on Broadway in "The Iceman Cometh," for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His other Broadway credits include "The Three Sisters" directed by Scott Elliot and "Arcadia" directed by Trevor Nunn.
