THE VIRGIN SUICIDES

Nominated for a Golden Globe for the feature film Interview with the Vampire, KIRSTEN DUNST's motion picture credits include starring roles in Little Women with Susan Sarandon and Winona Ryder, Jumanji with Robin Williams, Mother Night with Nick Nolte, Barry Levinson's Wag the Dog starring Dustin Hoffman and Robert DeNiro, and Small Soldiers with the late Phil Hartman.

Dunst's performance in Vampire earned her the Blockbuster Video Award for ‘Best Supporting Newcomer', an MTV award for ‘Best Breakthrough Artist' and the Saturn Award for ‘Best Young Actress'. Dunst was also named by The Hollywood Reporter as ‘Best Young Star' for the portrayal of a teenage prostitute in NBC's hit series, ER.

In 1999, Kirsten Dunst starred in Drop Dead Gorgeous with Ellen Barkin and Kirstie Alley, Dick with Michelle Williams and Dan Hedaya, and Showtime's Devil's Arithmetic, produced by Dustin Hoffman and Mimi Rogers.

This year, Dunst has several more projects hitting the big screen including the independent feature All Forgotten, a comedy Cheer Fever and The Crow: Salvation.

Although it has been her recent movie roles that have catapulted Dunst into the public's eye, her involvement in the industry actually began years ago. She got her showbiz start at the age of three, when she began filming television commercials. With more than 70 commercials under her belt, she made the jump to the big screen in 1989 in Woody Allen's New York Stories. After moving to Los Angeles with her family in 1989, her film career took off.

Dunst's career has not been limited to the big screen. In addition to a critically acclaimed recurring role on the hit television drama ER, she starred in Showtime's The Outer Limits, the telefilm Ruby Ridge: an American Tragedy, the Wonderful World of Disney telefilm Tower of Terror and Lifetime Television's telefilm 15 and Pregnant.
