MOLLY SHANNON (Betty Lou Who) is soon to be seen in the romantic comedy Serendipity opposite John Cusack and Kate Beckinsdale and directed by Peter Chelsom. Most recently she was seen as Mary Katherine Gallagher in the comedy Superstar, a character she originated as a member of Saturday Night Live. As a member of the " Saturday Night Live" repertory company since 1995, Shannon has scored with the eclectic characters that she creates. In addition to her breakout character of Mary Katherine Gallagher, her other characters include licensed joyologist Helen Madden and Terry Rialto co-host of the fictitious National Public Radio show "Delicious Dish." Her parodies of Courtney Love, Liza Minelli, Monica Lewinsky and The View's Meredith Viera continue to be a highlight in a revitalized ensemble cast.

Prior to joining SNL, Shannon appeared at The Up Front Comedy Theater in Los Angeles in The Rob and Molly Show," an improvisational show which she co-wrote with Rob Muir. Her television credits include guest appearances on Will & Grace, Seinfeld, The Single Guy Twin Peaks and The John Laroquette Show.
