DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

CHRISTINE BARANSKI (Martha May Whovier), a two-time Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress, most recently starred opposite Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy in the hit Bowfinger, and before that opposite Warren Beatty in the feature film comedy Bulworth.

Baranski graduated from the prestigious Julliard School and went on to perform in numerous regional and off-Broadway productions. Her big break came with Tom Stoppard's hit Broadway comedy The Real Thing, directed by Mike Nichols, for which she received a Tony and Drama Desk Award.

The actress earned her second Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance as a chain-smoking hyper kinetic in Neil Simon's Rumors. Baranski also received a Drama Desk Award for Lips Together, Teeth Apart, a role that was written for her by Terrance McNally.

On screen, Baranski has appeared in The Birdcage, for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award, Jeffrey, Reversal of Fortune, Legal Eagles, The Ref, Lovesick, Addams Family Values, Life With Mikey and 9-1/2 Weeks. More recently she starred opposite Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in Neil Simon's sequel to The Odd Couple, and in Cruel Intentions.
