STEVEN BRILL first came to Hollywood's attention as the creator of the original Mighty Ducks, a script he sold to Disney in the early 90s. A year after the film's release, the National Hockey League welcomed "The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim" to their first season. Brill went on to write and executive produce the 1995 sequel D2: The Mighty Ducks are Back, and in 1997, D3: The Mighty Ducks.

Brill made his motion picture directorial debut with Heavyweights, a comedy about a group of people at a summer weight-loss camp starring Ben Stiller. He then wrote and directed Late Last Night starring Emilio Estevez.

In addition to his writing and directing talents, Brill is also an actor with an extensive list of movie credits including Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Postcards From the Edge, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns and Adam Sandler's The Wedding Singer and Big Daddy.
