CARRIE-ANNE MOSS (Bowman) has become one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood.
Moss recently, audiences saw Moss starring opposite Burt Reynolds and Richard Dreyfuss in the mobster comedy "The Crew," for producers Barry Sonnenfeld and Barry Josephson and Walt Disney Pictures. She also stars in the independent thriller "Memento," opposite Guy Pearce, which played to rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival and is due for nationwide release next March.
Moss most recently completed shooting "Chocolat," opposite Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp and Dame Judi Dench for director Lasse Hallstrom and Miramax Films, which is due for release this Christmas.
The younger of two children, Moss was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. At the age of 11 she was starring in a children's musical theater group. During her senior year at the exclusive Magee Secondary, she was chosen to tour Europe with the school choir. This trip affirmed her passion for performing. Upon her return, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, and upon graduation she set out to become a model and moved to Europe. Success was almost immediate and it wasn't long before she landed modeling jobs in Toronto, Japan and Spain, where, at the age of 20, she shot her first of many international magazine covers. While working in Spain, she landed a regular role in the television series "Dark Justice," which was produced in Barcelona for the first season.
