FAMILY MAN, THE

NICOLAS CAGE portrays Jack Campbell, a handsome Wall Street playboy whose life changes one snowy Christmas Eve. Cage is perhaps best known as one of Hollywood's most versatile actors. He has proven his talent in all genres from action thrillers and poignant dramas to romantic comedies. His enthralling performance in Mike Figgis' Leaving Las Vegas garnered him an Academy Award for Best Actor. He also received a Golden Globe, and Best Actor awards from the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Associations, the Chicago Film Critics and the National Board of Review.

Recently Cage starred in Gone in 60 Seconds opposite Angelina Jolie and Giovanni Ribisi and in Martin Scorsese's Bringing Out the Dead. In 1998, Cage, starred in the box office success City of Angels opposite Meg Ryan. In 1997, he starred in the critically acclaimed John Woo action thriller Face/Off opposite John Travolta. The role earned him numerous accolades from the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best Actor to three MTV Movie Award nominations. Cage also starred opposite John Cusack and John Malkovich in Con-Air and opposite Sean Connery and Ed Harris in the blockbuster action film The Rock. Cage received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in Moonstruck as well as a second Golden Globe nomination for his role in the 1992 romantic comedy Honeymoon in Vegas.

His other film credits include Guarding Tess opposite Shirley MacLame, the highly acclaimed film noir Red Rock West, David Lynch's Wild at Heart which garnered a Palm d'Or at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival, It Could Happen to You, Barbet Schroeder's Kiss of Death, Birdy, Valley Girl, Raising Arizona, Cotton Club and Peggy Sue Got Married among others.

Cage's upcoming projects include producing duties on Shadow of the Vampire starring Willem Defoe and starring roles in John Woo's Windtalkers and in Universal Pictures, StudioCanal and Miramax's Captain Corelli's Mandolin directed by John Madden.
