THE PLEDGE

AARON ECKHART (Stan Krolak) has been a friend and collaborator to writer/director Neil LaBute since their days together at Brigham Young University. Eckhart starred in LaBute's feature films, "Nurse Betty," "Your Friends & Neighbors" and "In the Company of Men." For his performance in "The Company of Men," Eckhart received the 1997 Best Debut Performance Award at the Independent Spirit Awards.

The Northern California native appeared in several of LaBute's plays while at Brigham Young. He subsequently worked and studied acting in New York. His theater credits include Michael Cristofer's "Amazing Grace," opposite Marsha Mason. Eckhart most recently starred on-screen with Julia Roberts in Steven Soderbergh's "Erin Brockovich" and is currently working with LaBute again in "Possessions," co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam.
