ABOUT ADAM

STUART TOWNSEND studied drama at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and made his stage debut in the school's showcase production "Tear Up the Black Sail." After appearing in two productions of "Borstal Boy," he established his credentials as Ireland's hottest ticket with his performance in Bickerstaffe Theatre Company's innovative production, "True Lines."

He made his feature film debut in Gilles Mackinnon's "Trojan Eddie," then went on to star in the caper comedy "Shooting Fish." He next appeared in Came Adler's acclaimed independent film "Under the Skin," and as a psychotic terrorist in "Resurrection Man." He also co-starred with Daneil Auteil in "The Escort."

More recently, Townsend took roles in Michael Winterbottom's "Wonderland" and Robert Jones' and Ben Hopkins"'Simon Magus." He will also be seen in Michael Rymer's "Queen of the Damned," staring Aaliyah, Lena Olin, Vincent Perez and Marguerite Moreau.
