MORRIS CHESTNUT most recently starred in the hit film, "The Best Man," which garnered him an NAACP Image Award nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture. Chestnut made his feature film debut in John Singleton's acclaimed "Boyz 'N the Hood" as Ricky Baker, the promising young athlete whose life is tragically cut short by gang violence. Since his impressive debut his other credits include Ridley Scott's "GI Jane" with Demi Moore and "Under Siege II: Dark Territory" with Steven Segal.
His television credits include "The Ernest Green Story," "Out All Night" with Patti LaBelle and as a series regular on the ABC drama, "C-16." Chestnut will also reprise the role of a hospital employee on "ER" that began with a guest appearance last year.

Chestnut can be seen in Showtime's "The Killing Fields" as Bernard Stroble, an inmate on trial for the murders of two fellow prisoners during the prison's 1972 riots. The true story takes place during his 1974 trial and focuses on his relationship with his legendary defense attorney, Ernest Goodman (Alan Alda), and Stroble's decision to act as his own co-council.
