KINGDOM COME

JADA PINKETT SMITH (Charisse) "Kingdom Come" marks Smith's second pairing with director Doug McHenry, having starred in his film "Jason's Lyric" opposite Allen Payne. Smith's most recent film roles include "Bamboozled" directed by Spike Lee, "Scream 2" with Neve Campbell and a cameo role in the critically acclaimed film "A Return To Paradise" starring Vince Vaughn, Anne Heche and Joaquin Phoenix.

Smith's other film credits include "The Nutty Professor" with Eddie Murphy, "Woo," co-starring Tommy Davidson and the urban action-drama "Set It Off' in which she starred with Queen Latifah and Vivica A. Fox. After making her film debut in 1993 in Allen and Albert Hughes' "Menace II Society," Smith starred in "The Inkwell" opposite Larenz Tate and in Keenan Ivory Wayans' "A Low Down Dirty Shame." The actress also appeared in "Demon Night," director Ernest Dickerson's adaptation of the HBO series "Tales From the Crypt."

A native of Maryland, Smith studied dance and acting at the Baltimore School of Arts and the North Carolina School of Arts. Her big break came when she landed a role on the long-running NBC-TV series "A Different World." Other television credits include guest appearances on "The Trials of Rosie O'Neill," "True Colors," and "Doogie Howser, M.D."
