PEARL HARBOR

British actress KATE BECKINSALE (Evelyn Johnson) has captured the attention of audiences and critics on both sides of the Atlantic.

Beckinsale can currently be seen in "The Golden Bowl" with Nick Nolte, Jeremy Northam and Uma Thurman. She will next be seen in "Serendipity" with John Cusack. Her other films include "Brokedown Palace" co-starring Claire Danes and Bill Pullman and directed by Jonathan Kaplan; "The Last Days of Disco" with Chloe Sevigny Jennifer Beals and Robert Sean Leonard; and the British comedy "Shooting Fish" written and directed by Stefan Schwartz and starring Stuart Townsend and Dan Futterman. Beckinsale also played the title role in A&E's "Emma" directed by Diamuid Lawrence.

Beckinsale made her film debut as the lovely and naive Hero in Kenneth Branagh's critically acclaimed film "Much Ado About Nothing" with Emma Thompson, Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington. She then gained notice as the fiery, take charge heroine in John Schlesinger's sleeper hit "Cold Comfort Farm."
