EDDIE MURPHY reprises his 1998 role as the doctor who can talk to the animals. Murphy began his career as a stand-up comedian 25 years ago. He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live at the age of nineteen, in 1980, and has since established a successful career on the silverscreen. His film grosses are among the highest in the industry.

Among his many film credits are 48 Hours, Trading Places, Coming to America and the Beverly Hills Cop series. In 1989, Murphy made his directorial debut with Harlem Nights, a period comedy he wrote and starred in, opposite Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx. In 1996, Murphy portrayed seven different characters in the worldwide box-office smash The Nutty Professor. Murphy starred in and produced the high comedy Life, also starred Martin Lawrence; and the hit comedy Bowfinger, opposite Steve Martin. He also was the voice of Mushu the Dragon in the animated hit Mulan.

More recently, Murphy starred in Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, also starring Janet Jackson; and his voice is feature along with Mike Myers's and Cameron Diaz's, in the animated film Shrek. Murphy will next be seen in Plot Nash and is currently filming Showtime, with Robert De Niro, Murphy is scheduled to re-team with producer Brian Grazer for Universal and Imagine on The Incredible Shrinking Man.
