THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS
VIN DIESEL made his stage debut at the age of seven at Theatre for the New
City in Greenwich Village. He majored in English at Hunter College with a
concentration in creative writing and soon began writing screenplays.
He wrote, starred in, directed, produced and financed the short film Multifacial, which was screened at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. His next
project was the full-length feature Strays, a gritty urban drama, which he also
starred in, directed and produced on a shoestring budget. The film was selected
for competition at the 1997 Sundance film Festival.
