TIM ALLEN (Eliot Arnold) has moved effortlessly from his
award-winning role as Tim Taylor on the hit television series "Home
Improvement" to a film career which finds him playing mythical figures and
average guys alike to resounding success.
"Home Improvement," which ran for eight seasons on ABC, earned the
actor an Emmy nomination, several People's Choice Awards and, in 1995, a
Golden Globe for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He made his film debut in the
1994 blockbuster hit "The Santa Clause," for Hollywood Pictures, which
earned him another People's Choice Award. His second film found him as the
voice of Buzz Lightyear in the huge computer-animated smash, "Toy
Story," and it's critically acclaimed sequel, "Toy Story II."
Allen has also starred in "Jungle 2 Jungle" for Disney, and
Universal's "For Richer or Poorer" with Kirstie Alley. In 1999,
Allen played an actor caught up in his own sci-fi television series in
"Galaxy Quest" with Sigourney Weaver, and will soon be seen with
Christian Slater in "Cletis Tout."
In 1994, Allen's first book, Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man, was
published, topping the New York Times Bestseller List. His second book,
"I'm Not Really Here," was published in November, 1999.
