LL COOL J (Marcus Ridley) is an entertainer who has succeeded in crossing into all mediums of entertainment. A talented actor, two-time Grammy Award winner, and NAACP Image Award winner, LL continues to display his wide range of talents in his upcoming projects.
LL was most recently seen in Kingdom Come opposite Jada Pinkett Smith and Vivica A. Fox. He also co-starred in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday opposite Al
Pacino, Cameron Diaz, and Jamie Foxx. In addition to his on-screen performance, LL provided a song on the film's soundtrack. Other screen credits include In Too Deep, Halloween H20, and Toys.
LL starred in Renny Harlin's blockbuster action film Deep Blue Sea, for which he received critical acclaim in his comedic role as the Chef. LL's record label, Rock the Bells, co produced the soundtrack for the film, and he contributed two songs, including the title track, "Deepest Blue." He will re-team with Harlin for Mindhunters, which is currently in production, and will next star with Gabrielle Union in Deliver Us from Eva, a contemporary romantic comedy from writer/director Gary Hardwick to be released later this year. LL is also working on his tenth album, also to be released later this year.
Born and raised in Queens, LL has recorded nine consecutive multi-platinum albums,
starred in the syndicated hit NBC sitcom In the House, penned a 1997 autobiography, I Make My Own Rules, and launched the record label Rock the Bells.
LL Cool J currently lives in New York with his wife and children.
