JACK BLACK (Lance) has appeared in such motion pictures as Stephen Frears's critically-acclaimed comedy "High Fidelity," in which he played John Cusack's sarcastic music store employee, a role that garnered him nominations for a 2001 American Comedy Award and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best Supporting Actor. Black also recently co-starred in "Saving Silverman" and was seen in the 1999 independent drama "Jesus' Son" with Billy Crudup.
Making his film debut in 1992 in the Tim Robbins farce "Bob Roberts," Black already has over thirty films to his credit including such blockbuster hits as "Dead Man Walking" with Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon, "The Cable Guy" with Jim Carrey, and "Enemy of the State" with Will Smith and Gene Hackman, just to name a few. Currently, Black is starring opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in the Farrelly brothers outrageous hit comedy "Shallow Hal."
When he isn't making films, Black is the lead singer for the rock-folk group Tenacious D whose first album was released this fall on Epic Records. Tenacious D also had a variety series on HBO that aired in 1999.
