WE WERE SOLDIERS

RANDALL WALLACE (Director/Writer/Producer) received the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Braveheart," as well as receiving Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. He subsequently wrote, directed and produced the MGM drama, "The Man in the Iron Mask" and wrote the recent Touchstone drama "Pearl Harbor." Wallace has published six novels including the novel version of "Braveheart" and The New York Times Bestseller, "Pearl Harbor."

"We Were Soldiers" is a production of Wallace's entertainment company, The Wheelhouse, which was founded in 1999. The Wheel house focuses on quality storytelling and develops and produces projects for film and television as well as music, literary works, and online content.

Wallace attended Duke University and now resides in Los Angeles. He founded Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity, an entertainment industry partnership with Habitat for Humanity International which works to eliminate poverty housing worldwide.
