VALARIE RAE MILLER stars as "Original Cindy" in James Cameron's futuristic drama, "Dark Angel." Miller's sexually-charged lesbian character on the hit Fox sci-fi series is a far cry from her on-stage comedy routines or her hosting responsibilities on network sports and kid-friendly cartoon shows. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Miller became interested in acting when she was quite young. She attended a high school for the performing arts and landed a number of high-profile commercials while still in college.

On summer vacation in Los Angeles, she took a course in stand-up comedy and went on to perform at such well-known clubs as The Improv and The Comedy Store. Despite offers to go on tour with her stand-up routine, Miller decided to move to Los Angeles and pursue acting.

She quickly booked a long-term job interviewing celebrities and athletes as host of Reebok's PETV series, and went on to host FOX-TV's pre-game baseball show, "In the Zone." She recently served as a host on Disney/ABC's "One Saturday Morning" line-up of cartoons.
